Tonight: clouds will slowly decrease across Central Alabama. It will be much colder with low temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s. A freeze is expected for much of the region. Wind chills will be in the middle to upper 20s. Bundle up!


Tomorrow: It will turn MUCH cooler on Black Friday with a breeze as northerly winds move back over Alabama. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the upper 40s. Bundle up if you are going shopping early! Friday night will be clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s.

Weekend Outlook: A reinforcing shot of colder air will arrive this weekend. Saturday will be sunny and very chilly with highs in the upper 40s. Saturday night will be mostly clear and cold with lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunday will be sunny and chilly with highs in the middle 40s. More cold air arrives Sunday night across Central Alabama with lows back down into the lower to middle 20s.

Iron Bowl Forecast: It will be a cold game this year. Kickoff temperatures at 2:30 PM Saturday will be in the lower 50s with sunshine. By the fourth quarter, temperatures will fall to the lower 40s. Make sure you bundle up!

Next Week's Outlook: A second shot of colder air arrives next week as high pressure sits over the Southeast U.S. Monday and Tuesday will be sunny and chilly, with highs in the upper 40s and lows in the upper teens to middle 20s. The high pressure will move east of Alabama on Wednesday with sunshine and high temperatures back in the 50s. An upper-level wave will move over Alabama on Thursday and Friday setting off a few showers. It will be milder with highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
