Thursday: We will have an active weather pattern for the next week across Central Alabama. It starts with a cold front moving across Alabama on Thursday. This will set off numerous showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Some of the rain could be heavy, and winds could gust to 40-50 mph. Isolated flooding and wind damage can't be ruled out. It will not be as hot with high temperatures in the upper 80s.
Rock The South: Make sure you bring your rain gear and boots to Rock The South on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Expect scattered showers and storms over the next 3 days. Some of the rain could be heavy at times in Cullman, AL.
Friday: The cold front will stall along South Alabama on Friday. It will be close enough to set off more scattered showers and storms across the region. Some could produce isolated flooding and gusty winds. High temperatures will be below average as they only climb into the middle 80s.
Weekend Outlook: The cold front will retreat north this weekend. Upper-level waves will move along the front, and that will keep wet weather in the forecast. Saturday will start dry, but expect scattered showers and storms during the afternoon and evening. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s. The remnants of the front will continue to lift north on Sunday. It will be warm and humid with more scattered showers and storms. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 80s.
