Public's help needed identifying double homicide victim

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Jefferson County Coroner's Office is requesting assistance in identifying a man who was killed in a double homicide Thursday.

On Nov. 21, officers arrived to the 4400 block of 41st Place North around 6:29 p.m. and observed a male suffering from a gunshot wound at the back of an abandoned house. Officers searched the area and discovered a second male inside the abandoned house, also suffering from a gunshot wound. One of the two men was identified as Michael Carroll.

The coroner's office is describing the second victim as aging anywhere from 20 to 35-years-old. He's described as being 5'11", 270 pounds, and was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, brown shoes with white/black laces, with a metal chain necklace.
