BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- One of two men shot and killed in a double homicide last week was identified Monday morning.
Michael Allen Carroll, 20, was found shot to death on November 21 inside an abandoned home on 41st Place North. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Carroll was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:10 p.m.
Birmingham officers detained two persons of interest in the area following the shooting. A stolen vehicle was also recovered at the abandoned house. The two persons of interest are in the Birmingham City Jail on 48-hour felony extensions for murder.
