HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) -- Homewood police are investigating after two women were found shot inside a vehicle at an apartment complex Monday night.
According to Homewood Police Sgt. John Carr, officers were dispatched around 10:32 p.m. to a report of suspicious people in the area of the 900 block of Valley Ridge Drive, which is where the Valora at Homewood apartments are located. Police discovered a vehicle at the scene that was occupied by two women who were shot.
They were taken to UAB Hospital and diagnosed with serious injuries. Carr stated the preliminary investigation shows the two victims were approached by an unknown suspect who shot into the vehicle. There is no one in custody in connection to the case.
