BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Playoff football continues in Alabama as the second round kicks off Friday.
Hoover (9-2) returns to The Met for a highly anticipated showdown with Opelika (9-2). The Bulldogs' head coach has been suspended for the game for violation of the coaches conduct. In 6A, Parker (10-1) hits the road for a rematch with Mountain Brook (8-3). The Thundering Herd took the matchup in the regular season, 30-16. Lastly, Clay-Chalkville (9-2) continues its quest towards a second consecutive state championship as they play Muscle Shoals (8-2).
