Next Week's Outlook: Monday will be sunny, mild, and dry with highs in the 70s. On Tuesday, a cold front will move across Alabama with scattered showers and thunderstorms. It will be mild with highs in the 70s. The front will move by on Wednesday with lingering showers, a strong breeze, and cooler highs in the 60s. We will turn colder and breezy on Thursday with highs in the 50s, and lows in the 30s on Thursday night. Friday will be sunny with chilly highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s/40s.

Football Forecasts: The weather will be great for the local college teams across Alabama on Saturday. Auburn takes on UL Monroe at 11:45 PM with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s. Alabama plays Mercer at 1 PM with sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s. UAB is away at Memphis where it will be mostly clear and in the 50s for the 7 PM kickoff.

Tracking the Tropics: Tropical Storm Sara is sitting over the western Caribbean off the coast of Honduras where it will stall there through the weekend. It could get stronger, but the strength will depend on how far offshore it stalls. The closer to land the weaker it will be. A strong trough of low pressure and a cold front will move across the U.S. next week. This will pull the system north into the Yucatan Peninsula where Sara is expected to weaken and dissipate. The remnants take it into the Gulf of Mexico but get absorbed into the trough/front next week. This will move east and bring rain to Florida during the middle of next week.
