MONTEVALLO, Ala. (WIAT) -- Montevallo's American Village will offer free admission to guests on Nov. 11 in recognition of Veterans Day.
The American Village will open at 10 a.m., and events will last until 4 p.m. Guests are encouraged to participate in the American Village's tributes to American veterans.
At 11 a.m., visitors are invited to take part in "A Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance" in the Colonial Chapel. This service will be immediately followed by a wreath laying ceremony in front of the National Veterans Shrine. During this ceremony, guests can place an American Flag in the Veterans Day wreath and ring a bell to honor a veteran or active member of the military.
Other experiences offered by the American Village include viewing the film "Choosing to be an American People," visiting a replica of the Oval Office and Concord Bridge, exploring the Pettus Randall Miniature Museum of American History and meeting historical patriots.
