MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Governor Kay Ivey received medical attention at a campaign event for Alabama 2nd Congressional District candidate Caroleene Dobson on Sunday.
The campaign event lasted from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Sweet Creek Farms in Pike Road, Ala.
According to Gina Maiola, Ivey's Director of Communications, the governor became dehydrated at the event. She received fluids, and she was evaluated by paramedics onsite out of precaution.
Maiola stated that Ivey immediately felt better after receiving medical attention, and she is doing well at home.
