OXFORD, Ala. (WIAT) -- There was a fire at the Tull Chemical Company facility in Oxford late Friday night.
According to the city, firefighters were dispatched around 11:14 p.m. to the fire. Though one building was destroyed, no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Besides firefighters and paramedics, the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency, Environmental Protection Agency and Alabama Department of Environmental Management arrived at the scene. These agencies helped prevent the water runoff from going into Snow Creek.
The Oxford Fire Department is monitoring the site, and the EPA is leading the cleanup effort.
