Alabama football, player ratings in 'EA Sports College Football 25' announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- With the first new college football video game in over a decade being released Friday, it is time to look at the ratings the Alabama football team and its players received.

"EA Sports College Football 25" is coming out on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on Friday, though there are purchasing options that offer 3-day early access. Ahead of its release, EA Sports unveiled ratings and rankings for programs in the game.

The Crimson Tide is rated as the fourth-best team in the game with a 92 overall rating, which is tied with Texas. Georgia (95 OVR), Ohio State (93 OVR) and Oregon (93 OVR) are all ahead of Alabama.

The Crimson Tide's offense comes in tied at No. 3 overall with Texas with a 91 rating. Georgia and Oregon lead the pack with a 94 overall offense.

Alabama's defense is in a five-way tie for third place with a 90 overall rating, sharing the mark with Oregon, Clemson, Notre Dame and Michigan. Ohio State possesses the best offense with a 96 rating, while Georgia has the second-best defense at 94 overall.

Bryant-Denny Stadium was named the second toughest venue to play at. Texas A&M's Kyle Field is the most difficult stadium to compete at. LSU's Tiger Stadium, Ohio State's Ohio Stadium and Georgia's Sanford Stadium round out the top five.

  • No. 43 LG Tyler Booker (91 OVR)

  • No. 71 QB Jalen Milroe (90 OVR)
  • No. 76 MLB Deontae Lawson (90 OVR)
