The coldest air mass of the season moves into Alabama tonight as high pressure sits north of the state. It will be clear and calm with patchy frost across parts of Central Alabama. Lows will be in the lower to upper 30s.

A Frost Advisory is in effect from 3 AM until 8 AM with lows between 34-39°. Cover or bring in any plants you want to keep and have a warm place for your pets.

High pressure will stay north of Alabama on Thursday, and we will still have northeast winds keeping us cool with more sunshine. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 60s.

On Friday, the high pressure will move northeast of Alabama shifting the winds from the north to the east. We will start a warming trend with highs in the lower 70s and plenty of sunshine.

Weekend Outlook: Fantastic weather will continue this weekend as high pressure sits northeast of Alabama. We will be sunny and warmer with highs in the middle to upper 70s each day. The lows will not be as cold dropping to the upper 40s to lower 50s.
