Weekend Outlook: An area of high pressure will move over the northern Gulf of Mexico both at the surface and aloft this weekend. These two systems will bring us very hot temperatures. Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy, very hot, and gradually become more humid. There could be a few pop-up showers each day. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s to around 100° and the heat index will be around 100-105° each day. Find ways to stay cool and hydrated!
Next Week Outlook: The areas of high pressure will remain over the Southeast U.S. on Monday so we will stay very hot. It will become more humid, and a few pop-up storms are possible. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s, and the heat index will be 105°+. Southeast winds will increase the humidity to very high levels Tuesday through Friday. Each day will be partly cloudy, hot, and humid with scattered showers and storms. Some downpours are likely. High temperatures will be in the middle 90s, and the heat index will be 105-110°. Heat Advisories will be likely each day.
