TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) -- Alabama and Georgia fans were sure to bring the energy in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night.
With former President Donald Trump making an appearance, fans discussed their thoughts on him coming to Bryant-Denny Stadium for the second time.
Fans got in line as early as 2 p.m. to make it through tight security. U.S. Secret Service agents canvassed every entryway into the stadium. When it comes to the former president's appearance, some said it was good luck.
"He's going to sit in a box," said Owen Smyth, a Georgia Fan. "He's going to have fun. The crowd's going to be fun. It's going to be nice."
"I'm really excited," said Meredith and Macy, also Georgia fans. "So awesome. I think it's so cool. Good luck for us, right?"
Others said it doesn't change their stance when it comes to the general election.
"It pretty much doesn't change anything," said Smael Mondon Sr. "I mean, dog is dog. We're coming here tonight to prove something."
"Hey, all I can say, 'Roll Tide,'" said Patrick Cole.
Regardless of their thoughts, fans said they were excited to cheer on their team.
