JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office are investigating after a woman was driven to the Brighton Police Department with a gunshot wound early Friday morning.
Deputies arrived at the police department around 12:30 am and discovered the victim was already pronounced dead by Birmingham Fire and Rescue.
Deputies do not currently know what location the woman was shot at prior to being taken to the police station.
