TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) -- The City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market will host a "Sweet Grown Alabama Day" this weekend.
The event will last from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the Tuscaloosa River Market. Activities planned for the day include a watermelon slice giveaway, a paint-by-numbers art project, live music by Jacob Kynard and over 50 farmers and vendors.
According to their website, Sweet Grown Alabama is a non-profit foundation that aims to connect retailers and consumers to Alabama-grown foods and other agricultural products.
The Tuscaloosa Farmers Market, open on Saturdays year-round, is housed in the Tuscaloosa River Market.
