Sunday: Periods of rain including some heavy downpours will continue. This will help keep our high temperatures well below average, in the middle 70s much like Saturday. Rain coverage should start to decrease Sunday evening and heading into the overnight.

Looking Ahead: As the remnants of Francine slowly becomes absorbed into the main upper-level flow, clouds and rain showers will begin to mix out of here Sunday night and going into Monday. A few light rain showers are still likely throughout our Monday, but most people will remain just cloudy and dry. A very low-end rain chance exists through Tuesday afternoon before drier air aloft and at the surface starts to come back in.
This will clear out our skies and make for plenty of sunshine, especially by Wednesday onward. Less humid air will be felt by midweek, lasting with us through the end of the week. High temperatures will warm back into the middle/upper 80s, but it should still feel fairly comfortable and pleasantly warm.

Tracking the Tropics: There is an unorganized disturbance located off the coast of the Carolinas, given a 50% of tropical development over the next two days. This will move inland at the beginning of this week, helping push drier air our way around its backside. Tropical Storm Gordon is in the central Atlantic, forecast to remain over open water and weaken to a tropical depression overnight.
