SPRINGVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) -- Children's of Alabama will host the 16th Annual Baby Steps Memorial Run on Saturday.
The event will take place at Homestead Hollow, 1161 Murphrees Valley Road in Springville. Same-day registration and packet pickup begin at 7 a.m. The 5K starts at 8 a.m., and the Fun Run starts at 8:05 a.m.
Proceeds from this event will go to the Amelia Center, a non-profit organization that provides grief relief and counseling to children, parents and their families. They offer services to parents and grandparents who have suffered the loss of a child and also to children who have lost loved ones.
The run will give families who have lost loved ones the chance to honor their loved ones while raising money for the Amelia Center. More information about the race can be found here.
