Monday-Tuesday: The dry weather continues while becoming warmer and more humid compared to the pleasant Fall-Like weather we enjoyed over the weekend. Highs reach the middle to upper 80s with morning lows in the 60s under a partially cloudy sky.

Wednesday: Clouds return as tropical moisture increases from the south in associated with what will likely be a Tropical Storm or Hurricane Francine. The widespread rain will remain southwest of Alabama during the day.

Tracking the Tropics: As of Monday morning, Potential Tropical Cyclone Six is located in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico. Conditions are favorable for development and will likey become Tropical Storm Francine later today.

The current forecast increases the intensity to a category 1 hurricane before making landfall Wednesday afternoon or evening along the East Coast of Texas or Louisiana.

For Central Alabama, rain chances increase Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing us some much needed rainfall in the form of 2-3 inches. We'll also need to monitor the possibility for a few spin-up tornadoes. The exact track and specific forecast details could change as it develops, so check back for updates over the coming days.

Rain chances decrease Friday into the weekend.
