HUEYTOWN, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Hueytown tow truck driver is dead following an early morning crash Wednesday.
According to Hueytown Police Department, a tow truck driver left the roadway and crashed into a house on Forest Road around 3:20 a.m. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, but authorities said no one inside the home was injured. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later identified the driver as Franklin Eugene McMillin, 56, of Hueytown.
The crash is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office with assistance from Hueytown Police.
